Construction & contractor compliance

Practical construction safety and CDM 2015 support

Help with the duties, coordination and documents that matter on a construction project. We focus on workable arrangements that reflect the site, trades, programme and people involved.

The practical approach

CDM compliance is about managing work, not just collecting forms

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 set out responsibilities across construction projects. What is required depends on the role being undertaken and the nature of the project; not every business has the same duties.

We assist organisations in understanding relevant contractor and client requirements, organising pre-start information and documenting proportionate arrangements for managing the work. The aim is to make responsibilities and controls clear before problems reach the site.

Areas where we can assist

  • Review of relevant client, contractor and project requirements under CDM 2015.
  • Construction-phase arrangements and supporting site documentation.
  • Review or preparation of task-specific RAMS and safe systems of work.
  • Contractor competence evidence, training records and pre-qualification information.
  • Site inspections, action tracking and practical compliance reviews.
  • Support with coordination, changing work activities and documented review of controls.

How it works

An approach that starts before mobilisation

  • Clarify your role, project scope and the information available from the client or principal contractor.
  • Identify material risks, interfaces, site constraints and the evidence needed.
  • Agree responsibilities, priority actions and suitable documents before or during mobilisation.
  • Review implementation as the project progresses and update arrangements for material changes.

Do you act as Principal Designer or Principal Contractor?

Those are distinct statutory roles that must be appointed appropriately for the project. We can discuss the support your organisation needs, but advisory services should not be confused with automatically accepting either appointment.

Areas we support: Warrington, Widnes, Liverpool, Manchester and the wider North West, with projects also considered in the South of England.
